As the owner of Mosquito Hunters of Kyle-Buda-San Marcos, the first yard we ever treated was my own. I wanted to see how well our mosquito treatments worked from our customer\u2019s side. Our yard is the typical yard you would see in Kyle, with lots of mosquitos in the morning and evening. We have flowering plants and fruit trees in our backyard. We plant milkweed for the migrating Monach Butterflies.<\/p>\n
We began treating our yard in late spring. I\u2019ve been fortunate to work from home for many years and my days usually start off with me sitting outside in the early mornings with my coffee while watching our dog’s play. As spring turned into summer, my morning coffee time would get shorter and shorter as the mosquitos got worse.<\/p>\n
After the first treatment, I noticed an immediate change in the number of mosquitos I was seeing in the morning, which let me stay outside longer. The treatments continued and then one day in mid-June, something hit me – here I was sitting outside in the summer, drinking coffee, the dogs were doing the usual laps around the yard, there were bees buzzing around, and there were all kinds of butterflies fluttering around. I honestly could not ask for anything more, no mosquitos, yet still have wonderful bee and butterflies. Later into the fall, the Monarchs stopped for a meal and to lay their eggs on the milkweed, and there were still no mosquitos.<\/p>\n
