John Tuohy grew up in the Matawan area and attended St. Benedict’s School in Holmdel. After getting his BA from Rutgers College and his MBA from the University of San Diego, he started on a corporate career that led him to exciting finance roles with MSN and Xbox at Microsoft in the Seattle, WA area.
It was in Seattle that John met his wife Heather who grew up in the Pacific Northwest and attended the University of Washington. John and Heather married and started their family while John started working for Honeywell in roles that included three years as CFO-COO of the Additives & Chemicals business.
John decided he wanted the flexibility to be more involved with his children’s activities and decided it was the time to make the change from the corporate world and bring Mosquito Hunters to the area.
After seeing so many local outdoor get-togethers with family and friends be impacted by mosquitoes, John and Heather are excited to provide a solution. Mosquito Hunters of Old Bridge-Marlboro-Holmdel provides mosquito and tick control services to Cliffwood, Colts Neck, Hazlet, Holmdel, Keyport, Marlboro, Matawan, Morganville, Old Bridge, Parlin, Sayreville, South Amboy, and South River.

John and Heather moved to Marlboro nine years ago and love it here, spending time with their extended family in surrounding towns like Old Bridge, Matawan, and Holmdel. Their favorite part of this area is how much there is to do, whether it’s seeing a concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, a walk along the beach in Keyport, or the amazing parks like Holmdel Park.
When John lived away from Central NJ, he was constantly bragging about it to the people in other states and is happy to be back here for the last nine years. There is just no place that matches the food choices here like pizza, bagels, pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches as well as all the recreation and entertainment options. Many famous people are from this area including Jon Bon Jovi from Sayreville. Few people outside Matawan don’t realize that the movie Jaws was based on a 1916 shark attack that occurred in Matawan.
At the Bell Labs building in Holmdel, there were many technical breakthroughs including discovering extraterrestrial radio emissions, undersea cable research, and satellite transmissions systems Telstar 3 and 4.

In their free time John and Heather support the school and youth sports organizations that their two children are involved in. Their children participate in basketball, soccer, and love playing football and cheerleading as part of the Marlboro Township American Youth Football teams. Their daughter is also active in the Girl Scouts.
