On the other hand, a mosquito truck sprays a dense fog from the street, intending to eradicate adult mosquitoes, but their service can only reach pockets of infested areas in close proximity to the truck. In many cases, the backyard mosquitoes are left unfazed. We make your backyard our main mosquito hunting area!

Pricing is mostly contingent on the size of your property and how many treatments you would like to receive. Normally, we don’t even need to visit your property – our agents will be able to look your property address using our computer program and verify your property size for an accurate quote.

Yes. Many of our all-natural treatments contain various essential oils like lemongrass, cedarwood, rosemary, cinnamon, and garlic. Some ingredients will work to kill mosquitoes instantly while others have a repellant effect, keeping mosquitoes from finding the humans and pets spending time in your yard. We come out to re-apply every 2-3 weeks. With recent advances in natural product formulations, many of our all-natural customers experience results that are comparable to the results of our synthetic treatments.

Not normally, since mosquitoes do not typically use your grass as a resting area. The most common “hot spots” for hunting mosquitoes during the day include under the leaves of dense bushes and shrubs, underneath decks, and in damp shaded areas of the property. However, Mosquito Hunters does recommend that you keep your grass short during the mosquito season. In some special circumstances like large outdoor parties and weddings, we will spray the grass where your guests will be.

Yes. Regular barrier treatments can effectively kill and prevent mosquitoes, protecting you and your family from Zika Virus and other mosquito-borne illnesses.

Our primary barrier treatment products are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins originate from the extract of chrysanthemum flowers. Pyrethroids are used in various household products including lice shampoos and pet shampoos and sprays. We spray this product on bushes and shrubs, mulch beds, low-hanging portions of your trees, etc. Since these products are derived from plants, they will not harm plants. The products break down naturally into harmless byproducts 21 days after application.

As long as your yard has had sufficient time to dry afterwards (about 30 minutes), rain should not have a negative effect on the barrier treatment. No service can provide 100% protection from every mosquito and tick but on average our service will reduce mosquitoes and ticks.

No. We will notify you at least 24 hours before your treatment. If you are home, we will check in and check out with you. Either way, we will leave notice that your yard has been protected by Mosquito Hunters.

Mosquito Hunters provides multi-tiered methods of control and utilize the highest grade of microencapsulated products that release gradually over time. This ensures a complete 21 days of protection. Unlike temporary mosquito fogging or propane-based mosquito catchers, our fogging application sticks to the mosquito resting areas on your property and provides continuous elimination, guaranteed.

A Mosquito Hunters barrier treatment takes about 20 minutes to complete, on average. Larger yards may take longer to treat. Each treatment lasts approximately 21 days, at which time our team will be scheduled to treat your yard again. You, your family, and your pets should stay inside during the barrier treatment, but feel free to return to your outdoor fun after allowing 30 minutes for the treatment to dry. When dry, there is minimal opportunity for the product to transfer to people or pets who brush against the foliage.
