We’re a Texas family of seven — the two of us, plus our five kids ranging in age from 9 to 20 — and for over five years now, we’ve had the privilege of owning and running Mosquito Hunters right here in our own backyard. When you reach out, you’re not calling a faceless corporate line. You’re reaching us: the neighbors whose kids go to the same schools as yours, shop at the same grocery stores, and cheer at the same Friday night football games.
We’re also humbled to share that we were recently named Colleyville’s Small Business of the Year for 2026 — an honor that belongs just as much to the neighbors who’ve trusted us with their yards and the team that shows up for them every single day. It’s a recognition we don’t take lightly, and one we intend to keep earning.
We started Mosquito Hunters of Southlake because mosquitoes are more than just an annoyance around here — they’re a genuine public health concern. The illnesses mosquitoes can carry are a real risk to the people we love most, and we didn’t want our family, or yours, to learn that the hard way. Tackling a common community problem, alongside our community, felt like work worth doing.
So that’s what we set out to do: help our neighbors reduce mosquito pressure in their yards, help local families spend more time outside without worry, and do it in a way that reflects the values we live by. We run this business the way we run our household — with faith, integrity, and the belief that how you treat people matters more than how many jobs you close in a day. Every yard we service belongs to a family whose comfort and peace of mind we take seriously.
You’re hiring neighbors, not a call center. When you call or text, you’re talking to real people who live here, drive these streets, and answer our own phones. If something isn’t right, you can reach us directly. That’s not a policy — that’s just how a family business should work.
Our treatments are designed with kids and pets in mind. We know you’ve got little ones running barefoot in the grass and dogs chasing tennis balls across the lawn. We use treatments that are thoughtfully chosen and applied with care, and once the application has dried, your yard is ready for your family again.
We show up when we say we will. Reliability isn’t glamorous, but it’s the thing our customers tell us matters most. Our technicians are trained, uniformed, and on time. If something comes up and we need to reschedule, you’ll hear from us directly — not get left wondering.
