How It Started
Mosquito Hunters of Conroe-Montgomery-Magnolia is owned and operated by Paige and Josh Davies. Paige and Josh met at Texas Tech University, where they both completed their undergraduate studies in 2013. Paige continued her education at the University of Texas at Austin, while Josh began his career in corporate America with the Cintas Corporation. After completing her degree at UT both Josh and Paige aspired to move to the Montgomery County Area, where Josh spent the last few years of High School and his parents still resided (not to mention Josh’s love of fishing on Lake Conroe). Fortunately, that opportunity came in 2017 and they purchased a home near Lake Conroe in 2018. Shortly after, they welcomed their first child into the community, Benjamin Clark Davies, and have a little girl due to arrive in late January of 2024. As their family grew, so did their dream of owning their own small business. Paige and Josh love how tight knit, welcoming and caring the communities and neighborhoods are in the Montgomery County area, and wanted to provide a service that was valued, but better yet, made their community a better place to live. Mosquito Hunters was a perfect fit!
The Montgomery County area is booming with growth and has so much to offer including Lake Conroe, where there are trophy fishing opportunities, wakeboarding, camping (and glamping) and much more! The Montgomery County Convention Center is home to numerous trade and vendor shows throughout the year, as well as the Montgomery County Rodeo! The area is also known for the Sam Houston National Forest, which is home to a large portion of the 128-mile Lone Star Hiking Trail.
Unfortunately, it can be hard to enjoy all these great attractions if you’re constantly swatting mosquitoes or worrying about the health of your family and pets. The area’s hot temperatures, and sometimes wet weather, are the ideal living conditions for mosquitoes, making mosquito control service even more of a necessity.
The Why
Paige and Josh chose to become Mosquito Hunters owners knowing that mosquito control service is much needed in the Houston area. In her free time, Paige enjoys working out, cooking delicious healthy meals, and playing with their children. Josh enjoys fishing, golfing, and loves all things sports (especially the Astros!) They proudly support many organizations including KSBJ and Compassion International, and support veterans and first responders with a 10% military discount.
