About Us

Owners 

We are David and Barbara Harrell the local owners of Mosquito Hunters of Troy-Sterling Heights.

David worked in the automotive industry as an Engineering and Program Manager for about 30 years.  Over the years David was awarded with 12 patents and worked on many of the best vehicles ever made.  He worked on the seats and other interior components for Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota and others up until 2018.  He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and Mosquito Hunters is the 2^nd business he has started since 2009.  David’s hobbies include woodworking, singing, volunteering at his church, golf and being bossed around by Katie the dog, and Ron & Bindi our cats.

Barbara graduated from Michigan Christian College and worked in life & credit insurance for several years.  She then moved on to working in a law office for a while before getting involved with a couple of non-profit companies.  She currently helps to run our other business (Genesis Drug Test Services) and Mosquito Hunters.  Barbara also runs a state wide club and teaches American Sign Language in her “spare” time.

We have lived in Oakland County for almost our whole lives and in our current home in Troy for 27 years.  We are heavily invested in this area and have no plans to ever leave.  Mosquito Hunters is a new opportunity to contribute to our extended neighborhood and help everyone have the ability to truly enjoy their yard!
