Brian Meidlinger has lived in the area since 1999 and now is the proud owner of Mosquito Hunters of Cedar Rapids-Iowa City. Originally from Council Bluffs, Brian graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance and an MBA with a Concentration in Finance.
He was also fortunate to be part of Kirk Ferentz’ first football recruiting class for the Hawkeyes that provided for an exciting experience and helped build a strong foundation for his future endeavors. Brian lives in North Liberty with his wife, Sara, who grew up in Iowa City, and five children, Ava, Ethan, Emma, Owen, and Aidan.
Family and community are very important to the Meidlinger’s. They spend their time with their kids and enjoying the community where they live. They particularly enjoy Hawkeye sports and take in a football or basketball game any chance they get.
Brian enjoys the independence and the challenge that owning a business takes. “No matter what I’ve done in my career, collaborating with customers and providing exceptional customer service has always been my focus.”
The Iowa City and Cedar Rapids community, and Iowa in general, is very family oriented. Iowa City is the original state capital for Iowa and The University of Iowa City being close by and having the ability to visit and take in a major sporting event, music, arts, or museums provides for fun and culture.
The area also has wonderful outdoor activities and provides the opportunity to explore the various state parks such as Palisade-Kepler to Kent Park or to get out on the water at a place like Lake McBride.
The Meidlinger’s are proud to support Iowa City Public Schools such as participating in the “Backyard Campout” for North Liberty Schools in 2021. In his free time, Brian also enjoys spending time coaching his kids in their various sports, in particular football and baseball.
“Our focus on customer service and the understanding that a person’s time and money can be spent in different ways and showing the gratitude and appreciation that Mosquito Hunters is chosen to serve customers won’t go overlooked. “
