Gunther Blog: The Wiener Dog Races

Did you know that I’m not only a Mosquito Hunter? I’m also a local celebrity, you might see me around the Kyle, Buda and San Marcos area handing out Mosquito Hunters merch. I like to frequent local events, and I am hard to miss. I’m the big guy with the hat and the Mosquito Hunters badge. Recently, I attended the Buda Wiener Dog Races held by the Buda Lions Club. At the Wiener Races, lots of weenie dogs battled it out on the racetrack to run for the title of 2022’s Wiener King.

I experienced so many fun things at the weekend long event. On Saturday, I got to go out onto the racetrack and hype up the crowd of weenie lovers, how cool! Sunday was even more exciting, I met Elvis Presley, and he was so nice in person. I also got to train with the Jakku Temple Sabers Guild and learn some moves. I had so much fun meeting everyone at the event, but I think the best part of the weekend was petting friendly dogs. I love participating in local events, and meeting members of the community.
