Wondering if Regular Rain Will Wash Our Products Away?

We get this question a lot. In short, the answer is NO!

This is a misconception of many, in that they think rain washes our product away. Many people also think they will need a retreat if it rained later in the day after a treatment.
In reality, our treatments are designed to stick like glue for the long haul. Our products are designed to be outside and withstand harsh environments — even daily rain showers or heavy water pressure from sprinklers.

However, rain does effect mosquito presence because rain creates more breeding grounds and that is why it is important to consistently treat your property. Consistently treating your property ensures the mosquito population is not allowed to quickly increase from these breeding grounds.

HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY:

• Our products are microencapsulated but also have built-in adhesion technology, where it grasps onto surfaces.
• In addition to that, we back that stickiness up by adding a sticker/spreader substance, similar to an extremely mild soap, that helps spread out the product evenly, but also causes it to grip to surfaces. As you can see, our treatments Stick Like Glue!
  
• Our treatments only need about 30 minutes to dry, 20 minutes on a warm day, before they fully adhere to surfaces. Quite often, most of the treatment dried before the tech hangs the leave-behind materials on your door for you.
• We can even treat the property if it is misting/drizzling outside or if there is already water on the surfaces we spray because our backpack sprayer pushes that water off and applies our treatment to the surfaces.

OTHER THINGS WE DO:

• We do not spray if it is raining (not misting or drizzling) or about to rain within 20-30 minutes. It could be lightly sprinkling but not raining.
• We purposefully use a back-pack blower that sprays out the product in such a small form and that allows the wind from the blower to push off any water and applies our product mix on that surface instead.
• Our Technicians and Office Staff constantly monitor the weather throughout the day and will reschedule treatments if we know the weather will negatively impact the treatment. Our favorite apps to use are Weather Underground and My Radar.
